1959 FIAT-Abarth Zagato 750

Joe Parlanti's Double Bubble Zagato. Abarth commissioned Zagato to fabricate a purpose built race body for the Fiat 600 to turn it into a racing car in 1956. A very light alloy body kept the weight to only 535Kilos/1179 pounds and the Abarth-tuned 747cc  engine put out a respectable for the era 47 HP. they had success at the last 2 Mille Miglias, finishing second and first in class in 1956 and 1957 respectively. a delightful little sports car to see and hear. Joe and his mechanic are always tweaking something in it when I see them at the Hershey Hillclimb, and they work hard to get everything out of this little car.
