A VERY clean early production Countach before they ruined the lines with flares, wings, and bulges. If I were to have one of these, it would be one like this in Red, Black, or white.

I always thought these cars look like space ships.

Looks an awful lot like a Vector W8.

The more correct way to put it is that the Vector was influenced by the Countach. There were several designs from the 70's that used the wedge shape, some made the street, others as show cars.

Looks like the one that turns into a sub in James Bond. o_O

That was a Lotus Esprit. :)

IIRC, it was designed after the Countach. A LOT of supercars in that period were influenced by its wedge shape.

cousin had one of these, LP5000S red brown int, NO Whaletail, (10mph faster without), what a fun ride at 2am on the Grapevine north of Bakersfield, no washboarding of the highway.

I saw one of these in period on the road. I saw a later, pimped out one at an Auto Show in 88 (Sat in it for a donation to charity, VERY interesting), saw the Galliardo I have in my Gallery in Hershey last month, and this one. A very rare experience to see a Lamborghini at all in Central PA, let alone see it running.

Supposedly one of the retraunteurs in Harrisburg has one and is frequently seen driving it, but I've not been that lucky.

Favorite car of all time; but I kinda disagree; I like the later models more :3

The comination of outrageousness and the sheer clean simplicity, without the stuff tacked on really gies you an idea of the original intent of this beast, and also gives you more of a connection with the car it replaced, the Miura.

Yeah; I'm not gonna bash you and try and get you to see my way; I know why you like it cause you're not the first to think that way; if I had to summarize it (correct me please if this sounds wrong) you like the classic appearance and want the cleaner lines cause of its historical lineage you could say.

The first version I lay eyes on was the one with all those things tacked on and it brought me to see cars in a new light, I since saw plenty of cars going the same way and got to like that sort of aesthetics. To tell the truth though (evident by how I draw vehicles) I prefer smoother lines over sophisticated exteriors, there's just something so cool about bashful and restrained power, rather than vulgar expressions of raw power.
